About this worksheet

Volume measures how many unit cubes fill a solid. For a rectangular prism, V = l × w × h; a box 4 by 3 by 2 holds 24 cubes, so 24 cubic units.

Teaching tip

Build one prism from snap cubes before the sheet. Seeing a layer of 12 cubes stacked twice makes the formula obvious.
