About this worksheet
For a rectangle, perimeter is 2 × (length + width). For a regular polygon every side is equal, so the perimeter is the number of sides times one side length.
This generator makes perimeter worksheets with rectangles and regular polygons (pentagons, hexagons and octagons). Students add the side lengths to find the distance around.
Find the perimeter of each shape. Add up the lengths of all the sides.

Ask students to write the addition out in full for the first rectangle before using the shortcut.
