About this worksheet

A child’s own name is usually the first word they learn to write, and the most motivating one. The dashed midline sits at the height of the lowercase letters, so tall letters touch the top line and short ones stop at the dashes.

Teaching tip

Capital first, lowercase after: write the name the way it should look in school (Olivia, not OLIVIA), even if the child already knows capitals.
