About this worksheet

Area counts the unit squares that cover a shape. For a rectangle that is length times width, and the units are squared: 5 cm by 3 cm covers 15 cm².

Teaching tip

Mark the answer wrong if the units are missing or not squared. It is the cheapest habit to build early.
