About this worksheet
Slope is the change in y divided by the change in x: (y₂ − y₁)/(x₂ − x₁). For (9, 0) and (−4, 6), that is 6/−13, so the slope is −6/13. The order of the points does not matter as long as it is the same on top and bottom.
This generator makes finding slope from two points worksheets: each problem gives two coordinate pairs and asks for the slope. Answers on the key are simplified fractions or whole numbers.
Find the slope of the line through each pair of points. Use rise over run: (y₂ − y₁) ÷ (x₂ − x₁).

Have students label the points (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) in pencil before plugging them in.
